Comprehensive Inpatient Care Opportunity

Hospitalist physicians play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, and we are seeking experienced professionals to join our team at Horizon Health Network.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for Hospitalists who can provide comprehensive inpatient care to family medicine patients.
  • The successful candidates will share equitable evening and weekend call responsibilities with the hospitalist team.
  • Experience in hospital-based medicine is an asset but not required.

About the Hospitalist Team:

  • The hospitalist team provides medical care to hospitalized patients in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Our team members are responsible for optimizing admission orders, ordering treatment and investigative modalities, and discharge planning.
  • We prioritize excellent communication and collaboration among team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Expected Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Medical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies.
  • Valid licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
  • Membership in good standing with the College of Family Physicians of Canada, with certification or actively pursuing certification.
  • Current malpractice insurance from the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) appropriate to the category of practice.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

Benefits and Remuneration:

  • $50,000 incentive accompanied by a 2-year return-of-service commitment for eligible physicians.
  • Moving Expense Allowance reimbursement of up to $8,000 for eligible physicians.
  • An estimated annual salary range of up to $350,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position with a regular day shift schedule, Monday to Friday.
  • On-call rotations as needed.
  • Weekend shifts as required.

Location: In-person work at the Moncton Hospital.
