About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision. Your expertise will be essential in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, applying the ALARA principle, and ensuring the safety of our patients.

Travel to other sites may be required, and you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to foster a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong educational background in Radiological Technology, Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. Previous experience is an asset, and the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision is essential.

You will possess excellent communication skills, be able to prioritize duties effectively, and demonstrate initiative, organizational, and prioritizing skills. Basic Life Support Certification is also required.

Hours

This is a long-assignment full-time position, with approximately 18 months of work. You will work a 75-hour biweekly schedule, with shift work, call, evenings, nights, and weekends required.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $30.83 - $37.54, as well as eligibility for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
