Physician Assistant

As a Physician Assistant in our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered physician. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating, evaluating, and providing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
- Conduct physical assessments and interpret findings to inform diagnosis and treatment
- Order and review diagnostic tests, including laboratory results and medical imaging
- Implement interventions and procedures as necessary, including blood draws, ECGs, and procedural sedation
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment
- Completion of an accredited National Physician Assistant Program or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant education program or possess a Medical Degree and have successfully met all the requirements of a standardized Physician Assistant competencies-based integration program and assessment process
- Certified or eligible to be certified through the Physician Assistant's Certification Council (PACC) or certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) for American educated/trained Physician Assistant
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) certifications
