We are seeking a skilled Technical CAD Drafter to join our client's team in Guelph, Ontario.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience working with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. A diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent is required, while a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is considered an asset.

As a Technical CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for preparing engineered drawings (shop drawing packages) for submission and fabrication, as well as maintaining the technical information in accordance with our internal design and drafting principles and practices.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Our client is a well-established company in the precast concrete industry with a permanent full-time position available in their Guelph office.

Job Description
  • Prepare engineered drawings (shop drawing packages) for submission and fabrication
  • Maintain technical information in accordance with internal design and drafting principles and practices
  • Review technical details and engineering record keeping
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset
  • Proven ability with CAD software: AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Previous experience in a related industry is an asset
