About the Role
SI Sacopan Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Advisor (Preventionist) to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading activities related to occupational health and safety, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs to employees on various occupational health and safety topics, including the corporate health and safety plan.
- Update and disseminate corporate policies, procedures, and programs related to occupational health and safety.
- Coordinate the health and safety committee and ensure effective communication with employees.
- Identify and propose improvements to practices related to health and safety at the plant.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in occupational health and safety and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Relevant training in occupational health and safety or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence and act as an agent of change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills and ability to identify and propose improvements.
