About the Role

SI Sacopan Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Advisor (Preventionist) to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading activities related to occupational health and safety, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to employees on various occupational health and safety topics, including the corporate health and safety plan.
  • Update and disseminate corporate policies, procedures, and programs related to occupational health and safety.
  • Coordinate the health and safety committee and ensure effective communication with employees.
  • Identify and propose improvements to practices related to health and safety at the plant.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in occupational health and safety and implement best practices.

Requirements

  • Relevant training in occupational health and safety or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
  • Good knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence and act as an agent of change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to identify and propose improvements.
