About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Canada's Best Value Inn. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping and team management, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that staff are working efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to ensure that they are equipped to handle any challenges that may arise.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments, including front desk, maintenance, and management, to ensure that all aspects of the hotel are running smoothly.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or related role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with the settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including housing, transportation, and other essential services.
  • Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
