About the Role

VIA HFR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Advisor, Procurement to play a critical role in developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive business results and support our mission to create a new sustainable train network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and drive value for the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units and cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate agreements.
  • Ensure timely execution of files while respecting governance and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate contract renewals and amendments, and support business units in the application and interpretation of contract clauses.
  • Prepare briefing notes and reports as required for management.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, legal services, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in preparing, managing, and evaluating calls for tenders and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience with complex procurement processes and leading project teams.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills, with a high degree of initiative and autonomy.
