Job Summary:

Prairie Mountain Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in intensive care unit nursing to join our team as a Nurse Specialist II. This role offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary and benefits, as outlined below.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience.

About the Role:

The Nurse Specialist II will provide expert-level nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes.

In addition to delivering high-quality patient care, the Nurse Specialist II will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in areas such as advanced life support, critical care, and leadership. They will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in education and training programs to enhance their professional practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in areas such as advanced life support, critical care, and leadership
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in education and training programs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patient-specific needs and goals

Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Manitoba
  • At least one year of experience in an intensive care unit or coronary care unit
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Knowledge of electronic software programs and computer systems
