Job Summary:

As a skilled Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial grain machinery and mechanical systems. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency by conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring the reliability of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, specifically grain-handling systems, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment according to schedules and standards to prevent downtime and ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Fabricate, repair, and install mechanical components following established safety and operational procedures to ensure high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with other Maintenance and Electrical teams as needed to ensure seamless plant operations and achieve common goals.
  • Perform equipment alignments and calibrations according to industry standards to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Operate welding and cutting equipment, including TIG, MIG, ARC, Plasma, and Torch tools, safely and efficiently to meet project requirements.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and fire prevention regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman certification with Red Seal or Trade Qualification to demonstrate expertise and competence in the field.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial experience, preferably in grain handling or a similar field, to provide a solid foundation for the role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality work to deliver exceptional results.
  • Experience with material handling systems and conveyor equipment is an asset to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Proficiency in welding, rigging (load balancing, hand signals), and operating mobile equipment to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams to guide installation and repairs.
  • Knowledge of industrial elevator and cleaning systems is preferred to expand expertise.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered to provide a competitive edge.

Work Conditions:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (Day: 8 AM to 4 PM, Evening: 4 PM to 12 AM) to accommodate diverse needs and preferences.
