Emergency Medicine Physician

Seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine physician to join our team at Cowichan District Hospital. Our Emergency Department sees a high volume of patients, and we are looking for someone to work Emergency Department shifts, including day, afternoon, early evening, late evening, and overnight shifts, as well as Rapid Access and Diagnostic Virtual Unit (RADU) shifts. We are affiliated with the University of British Columbia's Island Medical Program and participate in teaching medical students and residents. Our team is tightly knit, with great collegial relationships across the acute and community settings, and an active and engaged Division of Family Practice and Medical Staff Association. We are excited to be actively involved in planning for the new Cowichan District Hospital, which will feature state-of-the-art equipment and design, and will bring added inpatient capacity and expanded OR and ICU capacity.
As a physician with CCFP-EM and FRCP certification, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our team. We offer a competitive compensation package, including the possibility of additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA).
