Snow Plow Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a spreader, plow wing, combo unit, and/or tow plow to perform snow removal on local roads and highways as per contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including spreaders, plow wings, combo units, and tow plows
- Perform snow removal on local roads and highways as per contract requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as required
- Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
- Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties, such as patrolling, patching, and minor equipment maintenance
- Ability to work assigned shifts, extended hours, and respond to winter events
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
We prefer candidates with:
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Previous experience in winter-works operations
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required
- Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
