Teaching Opportunity in Communication Studies

SAIT's Academic Services is seeking a casual instructor to teach Communication Studies courses starting in Fall 2024. The courses will focus on business and technical communication and writing, with a task-based learning approach.

The Role
  • Instruct Communication Studies courses to diverse students
  • Prepare engaging in-class and study materials
  • Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Offer ongoing support and guidance to learners
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging pedagogical issues and educational technologies
  • Attend department meetings and SAIT's instructor training program
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Communication Studies, English, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of post-secondary teaching experience in a relevant discipline
  • Graduate education and/or work experience in adult education is an asset
  • Strong computer skills and experience teaching technology-enhanced courses are required
