About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bakery Team Member to join our team at 1558Dao Ltd. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery as required.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of productivity in a dynamic setting.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Café environment.
  • Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, reliability, team player, work term: permanent, work language: English, and hours: 35 hours per week.
