About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board-Certified Cardiologist to join our team at VCA Canada Animal Hospitals in Calgary. As a key member of our specialty health care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our Cardiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions in animals
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team
  • Conduct echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and other diagnostic tests as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiology and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Participate in weekend or evening calls as required
Requirements
  • Valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada
  • Board-certified (Cardiology) or eligible
  • Experience with varied cases, a cross-section of clients, and all levels of staff
  • Licensed in Alberta or eligible to be licensed
  • Excellent diagnostic and critical thinking skills
  • Meticulous with medical records
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
