Community Ambassador

Peak Campus is seeking a highly motivated Community Ambassador to join our team.
About the Role
The Community Ambassador will play a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community among residents by providing support and development opportunities. This is a part-time position, working mainly in the evenings and on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Development:
- Establish strong relationships with residents, ensuring they feel comfortable approaching you with concerns and ideas.
- Assist residents during transitions to the community.
- Moderate conflicts and disagreements with residents.
- Build trust and rapport with residents while maintaining confidentiality.
- Inform residents about their rights and responsibilities within the community.
- Organize regular social, recreational, and educational activities for residents.
- Refer students to college resources for health, counseling, academic, or personal concerns.
- Collaborate with others to develop and implement programs.
- Keep residents informed about community and campus events.
- Community Policies:
- Provide general supervision of resident conduct in the community.
- Promote an environment conducive to effective living for all residents.
- Be available for designated on-call hours, responding to behavioral issues and assisting residents with emergencies.
- Communicate policies and provide explanations to residents.
- Confront residents violating community policies and regulations, documenting incidents as required.
- Submit reports to the Property Manager within 24 hours of incidents threatening resident safety or violating community policies.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with move-in check-ins on Move-In Day.
- Report and follow up on maintenance concerns.
- Complete weekly reports, incident reports, and communication logs as needed.
- Work at the front desk as scheduled.
- Perform other duties to ensure office efficiency.
- Assist with market surveys as needed.
- Collect deposits and fees associated with move-in.
- Audit lease and renewal files for key controls and bonus submissions to the Property Manager.
- Marketing Apartments:
- Assist prospective residents with online applications.
- Respond to internet leads, answer prospect calls, and conduct property tours.
- Contribute to optimizing occupancy while maximizing leased rent.
- Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and achieve budgeted occupancy percentages.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A desire to help others and impact your community.
- A strong customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to effectively solve problems and communicate information clearly and accurately.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Social Media Platforms.
- Strong communication skills to assist prospective residents in finding their next home.
- High energy to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Working Environment
Long periods of sitting, lifting up to 14 kg.
Office environment.
Extended exposure to light from computer screens.
Time-sensitive responsibilities requiring prioritization and time management.
Interaction with internal and external stakeholders responding to issues and solving problems.
Typically 35-44 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with weekends as required.
After-hours emergency response duties when scheduled.
Keep mobile phone charged and audible for after-hours calls if needed.
Make return confirmation phone calls to residents within 3 minutes.
Arrive at the property within 15-20 minutes when required.
