In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring flights, preparing flight plans, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. **Responsibilities**

As a Flight Dispatcher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring flight operations and providing critical support to our flight crews and air traffic control services.
  • Preparing flight plans and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with our team members to ensure the safe and efficient conduct of air operations.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely communication with our customers.
  • Staying up-to-date with changing weather conditions and providing critical information to our flight crews and air traffic control services.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A vocational diploma (DEP) in flight dispatching or equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of Transport Canada exams for flight dispatcher – meteorology and flight dispatcher – operations.
  • Excellent judgment, thoroughness, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick and informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively in English and French.
  • Knowledge of Cree language and culture is an asset.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new computer tools and technologies.
