Salary Information

The estimated hourly compensation for this role is $50-$75 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a competitive sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, clinical service revenue bonus, and RRSP matching of up to 5%.

Job Description

This Relief Pharmacist position plays a crucial role in achieving departmental excellence in patient-focused care, customer service, and workflow efficiencies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing safe and effective drug therapy, medication reviews, and disease state management.
  • Initiating care plans, following up, and documenting patient information.
  • Administering vaccines and determining appropriateness of drug therapy.
  • Monitoring medication adherence, collecting relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Recommending OTC products and vitamins, answering questions requiring therapeutic knowledge, and supervising a pharmacy student or provisional pharmacist.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • A valid license in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacists, Certificate of Injection for Drug Administration, and familiarity with Kroll (an asset).
