Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Avalon College Limited o/a Avalon Career College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas. This includes conducting market research, analyzing data, and creating marketing materials to support business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of marketing policies and procedures
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to inform marketing strategies
  • Design and create marketing materials, including brochures, reports, and presentations
  • Assist in the coordination of special publicity events and promotions
  • Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to assess development potential and future trends
  • Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals
  • Design market research questionnaires and develop feasibility studies
  • Develop and implement business plans to promote industrial and commercial business investment
  • Assist in the preparation of funding applications and ensure appropriate business/commercial licenses are in place
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia to promote business development initiatives
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing or a related field
  • College/CEGEP diploma or degree in marketing or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing software
