About Us:

The Contractor Consultants is a leading construction company serving Prince Edward Island. We prioritize work-life balance and empower our employees to achieve their professional goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee a team of 3-4 carpenters to ensure efficient project execution
  2. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to meet design requirements
  3. Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, or other materials for construction or repairs
  4. Install flooring, doors, windows, cabinetry, and drywall with precision
  5. Collaborate with the team to execute ICF construction projects efficiently
  6. Maintain a safe and organized worksite, adhering to company and industry safety standards
  7. Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
  8. Assist with training and mentoring junior team members
  9. Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely completion
Requirements:
  • Red Seal Certification (preferred)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in residential or commercial construction
  • Experience with ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) is required; experience with building foundations is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic hand tools required
