Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified Professor of Advanced Finance to teach and conduct research in the field of modern finance paradigms. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and be able to teach advanced finance courses to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach advanced finance courses to students, including courses on arbitrage, expected utility, risk aversion, and financial behavior.
  • Conduct research in the field of modern finance paradigms and publish papers in reputable academic journals.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for advanced finance courses.
  • Advise students on their research projects and provide guidance on their academic careers.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Finance or a related field.
  • Strong background in finance, including experience in teaching advanced finance courses.
  • Excellent research and publication record in the field of modern finance paradigms.
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum for advanced finance courses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching microeconomics or financial theory courses.
  • Publication record in top-tier academic journals.
  • Experience in developing and implementing curriculum for advanced finance courses.
