Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Bilingual Business Analyst in Ottawa, ON, Canada, with a strong business acumen in the Finance domain.
The ideal candidate boasts a minimum of 3 years of hands-on expertise in the Finance domain, are proficient in both French and English to facilitate seamless communication and have a proven track record of excelling in a consultant role.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define project requirements.
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and user needs to identify solutions and improvements.
- Create and maintain detailed functional and non-functional requirement documents, user stories, and use cases.
- Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business requirements and current systems.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements and timely issue resolution.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions, offering insights to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Perform quality assurance testing to validate that the software meets specified requirements and functions as intended.
- Assist in project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
- Provide ongoing support and clarification to development teams during the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze user feedback and system performance data to recommend continuous improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the software solutions align with current standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert for business processes, systems, and software functionality.
- Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to ensure smooth adoption of new software features.
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within finance.
- Minimum 3 years Manufacturing; Energy & Utilities; Service Sector; Construction & Engineering; Shipping & Harbour Services; Aviation & Defence.
- Minimum 1 year in client-facing roles.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with project management software tools.
- 50% availability for travel, including travel to the US and internationally.
- Legally entitled to work in the country you are applying for.
- Experience in ERP implementation or upgrade projects.
- Experience with IFS Financials.
