Occupational Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our Operations team at Silver Hills Bakery. This role is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Occupational Health and Safety programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and empower the workforce around the importance of Health and Safety and provide support on the floor
- Monitor, analyze, and implement effective occupational safety and health programs
- Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver training/information sessions, manage risks, and develop safe work practices
- Provide coaching and development to First Aid attendants
- Chair monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings and facilitate Health & Safety policies and programs
- Provide OHS support to operations, engineering and associated support departments
- Provide monthly safety reporting, regular feedback on project status updates, and document incremental savings on WCB premiums
- Ensure the completion of comprehensive and results focused incident/accident investigations, including root cause analysis
- Maintain effective and progressive safety communication vehicles and coach team members on OHS policy and procedures
- Manage WorkSafeBC related claims, Return to Work programs, create Training & Development standards and more
- Introduce creative Safety programs to engage staff to help support company objectives
Requirements:
- Designated Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching and motivating
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning, analytical, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of various computer applications including Office 365 including SharePoint
- At least 3-5 years of experience working as an OHS professional
- Related post-secondary education

Salary: $85,200.00 - $105,000
