At Architecture49, we're seeking a seasoned Architectural Technologist to drive our design processes forward. As a key member of our Thunder Bay team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our projects and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team. As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you'll be responsible for producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents, working closely with project teams to ensure compliance with Owner's Statement of Requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technical design solutions for facility construction, including interior and exterior assemblies.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to validate designs and deliverables, ensuring they meet technical guidelines, code requirements, and regulations.
  • Provide technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Assist with contract administration, including site visits and working with construction contractors.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience as an Architectural Technologist in an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college.
  • Substantial product knowledge and ability to detail architectural building systems.
  • Construction site experience.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, and Microsoft 365 environment.
