Nature Fresh Farms, a leading greenhouse company, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team in Leamington, ON.

As a key member of our Commodities department, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Commodities by communicating, training, planning, and coordinating tasks for the Commodity Coordinator Team at our Distribution Center.

This role involves overseeing order requirements, cross-referencing current inventory, inbound grower product, and purchased product to determine rework, build, and shipment needs on a daily/weekly basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Commodity Coordinator team, setting goals and motivation for sustained operational improvements.
  • Provide coaching, hands-on training, and follow-up to new and existing employees.
  • Plan, delegate, and lead the team to improve performance and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory using FIFO, LIFO, and FEFO methods.
  • Ensure proper rotation is followed by the Commodity Coordinators.
  • Collaborate with other departments to advance operational optimization and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve after-hours Allocation and Quality issues as required.
  • Knowledgeable of all Commodity Coordinator job duties and departmental processes to cover vacations and absences.
  • Daily communication, collaboration, and coordination with the Commodity Manager.
  • Report department updates to Management.
  • Maintain KPIs set by the Company.
  • Daily monitoring of time and attendance, preparing for payroll, and approving employee timecards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of Commodity/Allocation experience.
  • Previous Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, delegate, provide direction, and resolve issues fairly.
  • Experience working with Excel and MS Dynamics Nav (or other ERP systems) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are essential.
  • Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, some independent work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality.
  • Ability to adapt to the company's rapid growth, innovation, and development.
  • A valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle are required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action as needed.
  • Ability to address difficult situations confidentially, professionally, and respectfully.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended hours if needed.

  • Minimal supervision during the day with regular communication across facilities and external organizations.
