About the Role

This is a full-time position that reports to the Pharmacy Manager. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications to patients
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and supplements
  • Counsel patients on new and additional medications
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations
  • Administer vaccinations and other activities as legislated by the Pharmacist Scope of Practice Program
  • Provide pharmaceutical professional services such as medication reviews
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests
  • Review and control costs within the dispensary
  • Provide ongoing training for pharmacy colleagues

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license
  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills
  • Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience formulating and executing action plans
  • Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of HealthWatch Pharmacy Computer system
