Job Summary

We are seeking an International Tax Senior Associate to join our expanding tax practice. This role provides an opportunity to work with a specialty area within the firm's rapidly expanding Canadian tax practice, focused on serving internationally active clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare or detail review international components of complex tax returns
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of tax codes, regulations, rulings, and case law
  • Provide detailed review and training to staff
  • Coach others in tax software, business process, research skills, technical expertise, planning, and project management skills
  • Responsible for client work being performed on time and within the appropriate scope of services and budget
  • Stay alert to client needs that may result in growth opportunities for the firm and communicate with the client service coordinator
Requirements
  • BA/BS Degree - preferably in Accounting or a related field of study
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Public Accounting
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax law/rules and implications
  • Experience with International Tax compliance, including forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and 1118
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed, some requiring overnight accommodations
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, JD, or LL.M.
  • Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
