Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technician

C.F.R Dorchester inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for designing and developing power equipment and systems, assisting in design, development, and testing, and preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power equipment and systems
  • Assist in design, development, and testing
  • Prepare estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports
  • Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components
  • Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments
  • Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications
  • Collect and compile operational or experimental data
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems
  • Prepare design concepts, sketches, or models for approval
  • Design and develop programs
  • Write, modify, integrate, and test software code
  • Communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions
  • Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements
  • Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
  • Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Participate as a member of a research or development team in the design and development of experimental, industrial, or medical equipment, instrumentation, and procedures
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Robotic process automation
Requirements:
  • Certified Computing Professional (CCP)
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
  • 5 years or more of experience in the field
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Initiative and organized
  • Team player with client focus
  • Valid driver's licence
