At Jealous Fruits, we're seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Kelowna, BC. As a critical member of our packing operation, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of fruit bins and supplies within our facility.

About the Role:

  • Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and tractors with precision and care.
  • Moving, stacking, and unstacking fruit bins efficiently to prevent damage.
  • Operating a forklift safely and effectively to meet production demands.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with work safe and food safe regulations.
  • Aiding in the distribution of packed fruit and supplies throughout the facility.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of our packing operation.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, as needed.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team to meet production targets.
  • Meet all physical requirements necessary for the safe operation of a forklift.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift is an asset, but comprehensive training will be provided.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a seasonal role that runs from July to September, coinciding with our cherry harvest.
  • Work hours may vary between 8-12 hours per day, depending on the harvesting schedule.
  • Flexible shift options are available, including job sharing arrangements.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $21-$24 per hour, commensurate with experience.
