Executive Sous Chef

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Chef and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assess and prepare for service, ensuring all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
- Prepare, cook, and plate food to the highest quality and presentation standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of catering events and special functions.
- Assist with inventory management and menu development.
- Ensure a clean and safe workspace for all kitchen staff.
- Develop and implement new menu items and culinary concepts.
- Collaborate with the Chef to achieve culinary excellence and consistency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a professional dining establishment.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to maintain high food and presentation standards.
- Passion for food and cooking, with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Food Safe certification and culinary education or diploma an asset.
