Job Summary

Copcan Civil, a division of NorLand Limited, is seeking skilled Labourers to join our team in Victoria, BC. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform physical labour tasks, including loading and unloading materials and equipment, as required.
  • Prepare construction sites to eliminate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain site cleanliness, removing water and scrap material to prevent accidents.
  • Provide daily labour support to on-site teams, following instructions and working collaboratively.
  • Assist in erecting and dismantling temporary structures as needed.
  • Operate as a productive member of a high-functioning team, following instructions and contributing to project success.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ensure punctuality and maintain excellent attendance records.

Requirements

  • Proven safety knowledge and experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience with basic power and construction tools.
  • Valid BC driver's license (nice to have, but not required).
  • First aid certification (considered an asset).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Compensation

$19.00-$34.00 per hour.
