Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Dengarry Professional Services Ltd. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with intellectual, physical, and mental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Support Worker will work in a group home setting, providing assistance with daily living activities, household chores, and personal care. You will also be responsible for accompanying clients to appointments and social outings, and assisting with special needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and care to individuals with intellectual, physical, and mental disabilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Help with household chores, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
  • Assist with special needs, such as feeding and medication management
  • Develop and implement behavior management programs
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Screen, recruit, and train volunteers and support staff
Requirements:
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • Mandt System training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own vehicle or access to reliable transportation
Working Conditions:

The Support Worker will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
