About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Clinical Educator to join our team at BC Children's Hospital, specializing in Renal Dialysis. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing customized learning plans, providing direct clinical instruction, and facilitating learning by role modeling patient care skills and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for nursing staff, including orientation, training, and continuing education sessions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, and evaluate clinical education programs that meet individual learning needs and promote best practice.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, acting as a clinical resource and demonstrating expertise in pediatric nursing practice.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical education programs, activities, and resources, analyzing learning outcomes and identifying opportunities for quality improvement.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Nursing from an approved institution and current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three years of recent related clinical experience in pediatric renal dialysis, including one year in an educational or leadership role.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
