Salary
The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr., providing an attractive compensation package for skilled healthcare professionals.
Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with rehabilitation experience to join our team at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver, BC. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to assigned patients, working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
- You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for the designated rehabilitation patient group.
- You will participate in discharge planning, function as a patient advocate, and teach patients and their families about illness/injury and overall health promotion and wellness.
Your responsibilities will also include enhancing the quality of life of patients/families, documenting care provided, responding to incidents, consulting with other healthcare providers, and maintaining clinical competence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One year of medical/surgical experience in the care and treatment of patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, burns, or other related injuries.
You should possess demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated client groups, knowledge of pathophysiology, and skills in wound care, respiratory depression/failure, sepsis, deep vein thrombosis/pulmonary embolus, UTIs, autonomic dysreflexia, cardiac/respiratory arrest, and correct usage of equipment.
