About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Specialist to join our team at Kobe Microgreens and Greenhouses Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our greenhouse and nursery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate agricultural crop clipping activities to ensure optimal growth and quality.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Organize and supervise greenhouse and nursery operations, including staff management and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote our products and services.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying activities, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Order materials and stock as needed, managing inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to product inquiries and addressing customer concerns.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 1-7 months of experience in a related field, with a focus on agricultural operations and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, requiring 35 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality control.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
