Construction Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Operations Manager to oversee the smooth execution of construction projects. With a strong background in project coordination, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, assigning tasks and providing guidance as needed.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, updating the project manager on progress and any deviations from the plan.
  • Collaborate with project coordinators and managers to resolve complex issues and optimize project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar role, preferably in the Canadian market.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and drawings, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • A high level of problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and opportunities.
  • Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license, with authorization to lawfully work in Canada.
  • Preferred Training and Certifications: WHMIS for Managers and Supervisors; Office Health and Safety; Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control.
