At BCAA, we're revolutionizing the car sharing experience for British Columbians. As a key member of our team, you'll help drive the success of our car sharing program by analyzing complex data and developing actionable insights.

About the Role

  • You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop models and analyze data to inform business decisions and growth strategies.
  • As a data expert, you'll communicate complex data insights to non-technical leaders, ensuring they have the information they need to make informed decisions.
  • You'll be responsible for maintaining management reporting tools, including Power BI, to track key metrics and design dashboards to support business and operational decisions.
  • With a focus on geospatial analytics and tools, you'll identify areas to improve car share performance, business practices, data quality, and processes.

What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, business, accounting, economics, computer science, or math-related subjects with a focus on quantitative analysis and methods.
  • At least four years of experience in accounting, reporting, or analytics or finance, with strong SQL skills and familiarity with data analysis tools like Python, R, and Power BI.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid working knowledge of geospatial analytics and tools.

What's Next

  • Continuously seek out and identify areas to improve car share performance, business practices, data quality, and processes.
  • Act as the departmental point of contact for data insight reporting and manage the efficient flow of documents and communications based on the data needs of the business.
  • Query the database (SQL) for marketing and operational analysis needs.
  • Maintain management reporting tools, including Power BI, to track key metrics and design dashboards to support business and operational decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, papers, and emails, and other data insight deliverables.
  • Conduct other analyst activities, such as analytical modeling, testing hypotheses on growth strategies, and visualizing complex information for strategic storytelling.
