Safety Culture Specialist

At FortisBC, we're committed to a safe and inclusive culture where every employee can thrive. We're seeking a Safety Culture Specialist who will coach and mentor our leadership teams and employees to enhance our safety culture.
You will develop an understanding of our business unit structure, organizational values, corporate safety programs, and safety management system. You will identify and build relationships with key stakeholders from our company, including Operations and Shared Services, and support the advancement of our safety culture.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and guide our safety programs and initiatives by working closely with our Joint Health and Safety Committees and engaging with our Operations teams.
- Provide subject matter expertise, review, and update our safety programs to ensure continued compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Support other working groups related to health and safety programs to develop and launch initiatives based on your own experiences and knowledge.
As a motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year.
