Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely delivery of food.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure accurate ordering.
  • Hire and manage food service staff to meet the needs of our catering events.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for catering events, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform future catering operations.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure seamless execution of catering events.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of culinary genres and ability to maintain a high level of food quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
