This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. As a Food Service Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of food service staff in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee the daily operations of the food service department, ensuring that high-quality food and customer service standards are consistently met. This includes supervising and coordinating activities of staff who prepare and portion food, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Hire food service staff
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year experience in food service industry
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking
