We are seeking a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Bedard Resources, a leading Quebec-based company specializing in plastic reuse and recycled material production. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to take on a leadership role in managing the company's financial operations and overseeing a small team.

About the Role
  • This position involves providing strategic financial guidance to the President and senior management team, ensuring effective financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and cash management.
  • As Financial Operations Manager, you will lead a small team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably with a CPA designation, and minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical environment. You should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and cash management.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a small team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements, to senior management and the board of directors.
Requirements
  • University degree in accounting (CPA designation is an asset).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment.
  • Proficiency in financial statements and debit-credit accounting.
  • Bilingual in spoken and written communication (an asset).
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and multi-currency management (an asset).

The salary for this position is approximately $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location in Quebec. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
