Job Title: Support Worker - Part Time

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at PACE Independent Living. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional personal support services to our clients in their homes.

About the Role:
  • Provides personal support services to clients in their homes, including activities of daily living, lifts/transfers, bowel/bladder routines, dressing/undressing, skin care, respiration, meals/drinks, and general hygiene.
  • Works independently and cooperatively with others to complete tasks and provide support to clients.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Manages time effectively to complete tasks and meet client needs.
  • Participates in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Completed a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association.
  • 1-year PSW experience gained in the physical disabilities sector.
  • Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) membership is considered an asset.
  • Proof of First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Person).
