About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Asian Food Centre Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Operations Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, manage kitchen inventory and records, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Menu Development and Planning: Work with our culinary team to develop and plan new menu items and specials, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and develop kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory and records, including ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. Public transportation is available.
