Job Summary
The Toronto Metropolitan University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Laboratory Monitor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising laboratories, demonstrating and explaining the use of equipment, and assisting students with technical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise laboratories and ensure a safe and efficient working environment
- Demonstrate and explain the use of premedia equipment to students
- Assist students with technical procedures and problem-solve equipment issues
- Monitor and maintain the working condition of equipment in the assigned laboratory/learning environment
- Attend employer orientation workshops and mandatory employer training
- Assist lab technicians with preparing labs and other related projects
Requirements
- Enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of the Ryerson Graphic Communications Management Undergraduate Program
- Willingness to work hands-on with a variety of premedia equipment
- Good problem-solving and attention to detail skills
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to work on Saturdays from 11am-4pm and one weekday in the evening. The estimated total hours of work are 50.00 hours per semester or 390 hours per academic year.
