We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Developer to join our team at Academia Group. As an Educational Developer, you will play a critical role in cultivating a teaching and learning environment that fosters academic excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Faculty Support and Development

Provide guidance and support to faculty members in evaluating pedagogical approaches and creating quality learning environments that promote student success.

Curriculum Development and Design

Support faculty in designing and developing curricular projects, including online, blended, and classroom learning experiences, using a range of instructional tools and technologies.

Community of Practice Facilitation

Facilitate communities of practice among faculty members to share best practices, collaborate on teaching and learning initiatives, and promote a culture of innovation and excellence.

Programmatic Self-Studies and Action Plans

Support academic departments in conducting programmatic self-studies and developing action plans to improve teaching and learning practices.

Course Design and Development

Support instructors in designing and developing courses, including aligned learning outcomes and assessments, to ensure student success and academic excellence.

Professional Development and Training

Provide professional development and training opportunities for faculty members to enhance their teaching and learning skills, including pedagogical approaches, instructional design, and assessment strategies.

Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with other faculty areas, including Educational Technology, Indigenization, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, to support faculty development and promote a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, or a related field
  2. Minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in a post-secondary setting
  3. Record of excellence in postsecondary teaching and learning
  4. Knowledge of effective and innovative pedagogical and assessment approaches
  5. Experience supporting faculty pedagogical development and curriculum design
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, leading to an ability to work with and direct diverse groups of people
  7. High degree of intercultural competence and capacity to facilitate training in intercultural spaces
  8. Ability to work in a self-directed environment towards long-term goals
  9. Ability to build relationships with faculty, students, and staff
  10. Excellent project management and quality assurance management skills

Columbia College offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $79,501- $83,985, based on experience and qualifications.
