Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for leading small group tutoring sessions with students aged 9-18, guiding discussions, answering questions, and helping students work through problems collaboratively.

Responsibilities
  • Lead small group tutoring sessions with students aged 9-18
  • Use provided materials to deliver structured lessons and ensure students understand key concepts
  • Apply effective teaching strategies and strong communication to boost students' academic skills
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to keep students engaged and motivate them to take ownership of their learning
  • Provide clear, targeted feedback—both verbally and in writing—so parents can monitor their child's progress
  • Leverage soft-skills to help New Canadians develop stronger English language skills in an educational environment
  • Demonstrate cultural competency by fostering a positive, inclusive environment where students are encouraged to rise up to the challenge
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (required)
  • Passionate about helping others learn
  • Confident in classroom management skills or willing to learn
  • Eager to grow through targeted training in academic enrichment and test prep
  • Looking to leverage strong academic skills in a rewarding role
Work Hours

Teachable hours are between 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs. We offer a range of hours to fit your lifestyle, from 10-20 hours per week.

Locations

We have multiple locations throughout the Lower Mainland, including Burnaby, Coquitlam, North Shore, Richmond, Surrey-Guildford, Vancouver, and White Rock.

Teaching Subjects

We offer academic enrichment courses in STEM (Math, Science, Bio, Chem, or Physics) and English (Literature, Reading, Writing). Tutors with experience in test prep or teachers with valid teaching certificates are also invited to apply.
