About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Retirement Consultant to join our team at Aon. As a key member of our Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Aon's success while working with a diverse array of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and consult on Defined Contribution Group Retirement Savings Programs
  • Lead client relationships for small to medium-sized accounts, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Focus on positive member outcomes while working with clients
  • Develop and participate in effective presentations for existing or prospective clients, individually or in concert with team members
  • Utilize strong technical investment knowledge and experience to provide high-quality advice
  • Manage routine client projects, such as provider review exercises, investment strategy reviews, and program development, with minimal oversight
  • Prepare meeting materials and ensure all projects involved with a client are meeting needs and proceeding on schedule
  • Master technical concepts and make reasonable interpretations of how they impact clients, including explanations, presentations, and impact considerations
  • Participate in business development activities and coordinate resources on different projects to achieve client results
  • Display confidence, passion, and leadership, and be self-motivated, demonstrating a desire to continue to learn and grow
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with Defined Contribution Retirement Savings Plan consulting or a related field
  • Experience advising clients on Defined Contribution investment strategy, DC products and investment platforms, fund manager recommendations, ongoing investment monitoring, and compliance with regulatory requirements and changes in legislation
  • French/English bilingualism preferred due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and/or internationally
  • Organization skills, rigor, and thoroughness, as well as proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, or a similar area of focus is an asset
