Senior Investment Analyst

PSP's Private Debt & Credit Investment (PDCI) group is a leading investment manager with a strong track record of delivering exceptional returns to our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team in Montreal.
About the RoleThe Senior Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Capital Markets Alternatives team by providing operational support, coordinating investment activities, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational support to the Capital Markets Alternatives team, including coordinating investment activities and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information.
- Support new deal process, assist, communicate, and coordinate new deals' operationalization.
- Act as a central point of contact with regards to the Public Markets investment teams with internal business partners.
- Ensure Public Markets investment teams' business priorities are tracked and delivered on the right priorities.
- Contribute to portfolio reporting and presentations to inform key stakeholders in a fast-changing environment.
- Verification of completeness and accuracy of information - Identify, analyze, and respond to resolve issues and problems.
- Undergraduate University degree in finance or other relevant field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related working experience in Capital Markets or relevant field supporting Investment Management.
- In-depth knowledge of Public and Private financial transactions.
- Excellent ability to learn new computer systems and processes.
- Team player, enjoys a high-performance culture.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think through multifaceted problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in portfolio operations, database concepts, and investment finance processes, an asset.
- Strong knowledge of analytical tools and computer skills such as O365 suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Power BI VBA, and SQL.
- Self-starter, innovative, thorough, and organized team player.
- Capacity to adapt and show flexibility against fast-moving and changing priorities.
- Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn).
