Senior Researcher in AI Infrastructure and Cloud Networking

Our team at Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher to lead our research efforts in AI infrastructure and cloud networking. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for exploring, developing, and deploying state-of-the-art networking technologies and protocols for our global AI infrastructure, cloud, and data-center networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead our research team to identify and develop innovative solutions for AI infrastructure and cloud networking.
  • Collaborate with professionals in academia and industry to ensure Huawei's value is being delivered.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of professional experience in research, engineering, and technical innovation.
  • 3+ years of team leading experience in research or technical innovation.
  • Expertise in AI infrastructure, HPC, or datacenter networking technologies, including RDMA, network protocol stack optimization, collective communication scheduling, traffic engineering/routing, congestion control, topology design, and resource allocation.
  • Experience in networking, data network architectures, software architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated strong influence on the networking technologies in academia or industry context.
