Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Lord Elgin Fish & Chips. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
  • Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
  • Advise on menu selections
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Describe and advise on wine selection
  • Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Provide customer service
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be working in a noisy and physically demanding environment, with the ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Will train on the job
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
