Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ikebata Nursery School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
Requirements
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a nursery school setting with a team of dedicated professionals. The position requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual dexterity.
